📌 Claiming RFQs with "Assign to Me"

How to claim RFQs with Assign to Me and avoid duplicate quotes using the RFQ Management Tool.

Written by InfoTrader

Why This Matters

As more team members gain visibility into shared RFQ queues, there's a risk that two people end up working and quoting - the same request. To prevent that, RFQ Management includes a built-in claiming feature: Assign to Me.

We're also building distribution scheduling (time-based routing rules for AEX and ILS sources), which means shared visibility will keep expanding. Until that ships, Assign to Me is your go-to tool for staying coordinated.

🔧 How It Works

  1. Open RFQ Management

  2. Check the box next to the RFQ(s) you want to claim

  3. Click Assign to Me

  4. The Assigned To column updates instantly with your name

Done — the RFQ is now yours, and anyone else on the queue can see it's already being handled.

✅ Why Claim RFQs Promptly

  • Team visibility — instantly clear who owns what

  • No duplicate quotes — avoids two reps quoting the same customer

  • Better priority handling — pairs with Priority and Respond By to keep urgent RFQs on track

🚀 What's Coming Next

Distribution scheduling will let admins set time-based routing rules across sellers for AEX & ILS. As this rolls out, more RFQs may be visible to more people — making Assign to Me even more important.

👉 In the Meantime

  • Use Assign to Me as soon as you start on an RFQ

  • Check Assigned To before working any RFQ that isn't yours

  • Flag anything that looks stuck or unclaimed to your team lead
